how to kill using ryze 1v1?

i understand the team fight potential, but on lane when i play ryze (new to ryze), simply cant kill them, no matter how low they are, even if i full combo them, they get to 200 hp, yet i got no gap closer, no hard cc except w used in combo, so i cant rly do much.

Just poke with Q, if they are low enough kill him with a combo
Otherwise he will go back cuz he need more pots

you dont need kills on lanes . but if u want to play an aggressiv ryze u should poke with ur q and farm with auto attacks otherwhise ur mana will get to fast low . if he is 1/2 hp u can try to kill with a combo or one q before and after some sec the full combo after it he must be dead or he will port back and u can push him out . so u will have anyway advantages.
