its just uses a CV library to process the images and uses the screen acordingly. nothing fancy. the real downside is that the "buff" is blinking and its only active around 3segs so you may get unluck and the moment you are procesing is the one you dont have the image. also i have to process 5 diferent images so... it takes a while. on my computer i catch around 90% of the buffs correctly.

Have you considered changing the Icons of the fish buffs to something more noticeable or do you think the CV library does a good enough job in recognizing the different buffs?
10/15/2014 22:15 theonn#6
the CV library is able to detect the images just fine (despite the fact that they are rather small) the problem is the blinking and changing... it would be awsome if they buff would just stay with the number but not blinking.

I can probably disable the fade animation on the buffs if you are willing to change the game_pak file
10/15/2014 22:38 theonn#8
that would help a lot with the detection rate (as all the states of the buff would trigger a recognition).

i have qbms and that, if you find where to disable that anim, let me know :D

check game/scriptsbin/x2ui/buffwindow.alb

and there the FadeAnimation(item, leftTime) function. Sounds promising, I didn't get to test it yet, but I assume you should be fine by setting the Alpha to always be 1

Edit: yup, checked it, just set the Alpha to always be 1 and you get no fade time. You can also remove the "remaining time" text in the "BuffLeftTimeUpdate" function, just set the text to "".

I think it'd be alot less hardware dependant if you added an option to "select" the area that gets scanned for buff icons. I'm an amateur though so just a blind shot.

actually quite a great idea. ill try that and report back with a trimmed version.

uploaded new version that allows you to set the screen size to "search for buffs"

x,y are the initial cordinates.
widht and height are the size of the rectable. you can use preview to help you tweak for the best size.

I'm not sure if I understand what you mean by adjusting the fish buff images. Do I have to resize the images in the FishingAide folder to my screen resolution? (fishing1.png, etc.) So that every images is 1650x1050 if my screen resolution were to be 1650x1050.

Also I have a full-screen windowed mod. I assume it'll work the same way as regular Windowed mode?

Edit: I figured it both out after testing it. Full-screen windowed mod is also no problem!
