Recruiting problems

Ok ppl just hear me out.

Im starting to get sick of ppl that go to other servers to promote a server. I bann them all off my server and send a private message through the forum to the admins. i wish that if someone from EdenOnline comes to your server you'll do the same because this is getting ridicoulus.
when i message the admins of the other servers i leave the name the player used on my server along with their ip.
It's in my rules to not promote on another server as i think it should be in everyones rules because this just causes friction between all the servers.

so just make sure you let your players know not to go on other servers to promote yours. It makes your server look bad to that your players have to go to other servers to recruit ppl...

yeah, alot of people from Brazillioan servers and DevilAdvocactes advertise on mine too, using Hamachi lol , its like a cycyle, it cant be stop

it can be stopped if the owners of the servers start putting it in rules and enforce it to stop ppl from doing this. because in the end it makes their servers look bad. I bann everyone i find out is recruiting Eden on another server because it's in my rules not to. as i'd hope other would do for making them look bad.

i dont mind if ppl actually wanna go somewhere else or play on several servers. but dont advertise other pservers on the one you're playing on atm

snail is right, if the server owners actually set rules down for thier staff then we wouldn't have this issue at all. I have gone to a couple of server owners and thier excuse was "I cantcontrol what my staff do". Talk about a royal cop out. Them saying that is like a father saying they have no control over wether thier minor child beats and stabs someone. Which admitidly sometimes they dont but you get what i am saying.

It's made pretty clear in ACME Staff Section of our forums when a GH/GM is recruited that they are not to do things along these lines etc including special treatments. Result of doing so = no more staff. I say if "you" (refering to those that do) want to advertise a private server do it on TQ EO. The one we all should be competing with.

Every server can make a rule on this, but that's about it. When it comes down to it, it's the players. Their scum for doing it, just because they want to see a server prosper. I'm a player, I can proudly say I've never done this. But really, what can server owners do about it? Ban someone for doing it? Yeah, it doesn't matter to them. If every player read this forum, it probably wouldn't happen at all.

Like funhacker mentioned, we need to recruit from TQ. A big red light with that, the more money you take from TQ, the harder they'll try to take your server down.

Hum..simply nothing can be done about it. Not everyone can be controlled, so it should be dealt with accordingly.

i advertise on Real Eudemon only but its hard as most of those noobs there dont know about Hamachi and Winrar and stuff
