Second Server?

Hi All, I was wondering if someone could tell me how to add a second server on a p server. I got the first one up and been working on how to set up a second one of either the same epic or a different epic all together. Nothing I tried so far seems to work. So I am coming to the experts for help on this. Any thing is appreciated. Thanks in advance

But to what do I make a second file or work on the first? If some one would please show me a spoiler so I can understand. I am someone that learns be seeing and doing. I can not do it just by reading (I know it bites but its how I learn)

You will need a second telecaster with a different name in your SQL object browser databases.

You will need a second game server folder with a gameserver.opt to define the game server telecaster with the new name.

You can use both on the same auth server.

If you are running the same epics with no changes you can run both on the same Arcadia. Define a new Arcadia with a new name in gameserver.opt if running a different epic.

As already mentioned use a new index number in the gameserver.opt to put the server in a new slot on the server selection screen, and run on a different port.

thundr, I used your spoiler to make my first ever p server. as you know your set up better then anyone. Could you please put in a spoiler showing what ports to change and to what.

Working on the new database files. (well searching for a different epic set right now) I figure best game would be to run (all the Different Epics I can find on a non Cash basis. But Got to learn it all first as I work alone

S:db.user.name:telecaster <- DB name for telecaster
S:db.c.name:arcadia8_1 <- DB name for arcadia
N:io.port:4514 <- Port for Client <-> Gameserver only port you need to change for a 2nd gameserver
