People connecting to my server

hey every 1 this is my 1st topic because i tend to find things 1st before i start asking for questions =3 i made a server ok and it runs fine i downloaded hamachi but how do i get other people to connect? my friend downloaded the 5088 client and updated it to 5095 then replaced the coemu.exe and the server.dat but then what do i do? they have hamachi and can connect to my room but how do i get the client to connect to my server? :rolleyes:

They have to be connected to your hamachi network and they need to have your hamachi ip address in their server.dat and cid.sever dat

Hamachi Part:

- Install Hamachi
- Make a room
- Make the room online
- Let them join the room

Server Part
- Run AppServ / WampServer or w/e MySql thingy you use.
- Make sure they have an account with the right settings.
- Run the Server (LOTF = 1 file, CoEmu = 2 files).

Client Part
- Give them a edited .exe
- Make sure they have the right patch.
- Edit the CIDServer.dat and/or Server.dat and make sure the IP they filled in is your Hamachi IP and not the normal one.
- They should be able to connect. :)

thanx guys! but the only problem is when they change the ip in the server.dat the conquer just crashes when its loading at the start they just get the dont send error report =/ when i put my hamachi ip in it doest run but if i take 1 digit off the ip the conquer loads does this mean the ip is to big for it or something?

Only in cid.dat

im not using steals server pack im using coemu so there is no cid.dat in the conquer folder any help?

Get an edited conquer.exe. (Not sure if one exists.)
I've never heard of a too long IP, however if you fill in 127.0.0.1 it will give you an error.

people won't connect with you on coemu with hamachi

then how are they suppost to connect to my server do i need a no-ip if i do i have 1

Hey wat u mean by run da appserv like do mean by installing it or running cuz i am not sure how to run it lolz

blade911 can you inform me on what to change please =3 is it just the server.dat? if so how come the conquer crashes for my friends when they put my hamachi ip? ive heard that the ip may be to long?

neber120 he means if you are using app serv run it but i use navicat and mysql but my problem is i change the server.dat and the conquer crashes =/ ive been told the ip can be too big is this true?

i think i know the problem i put my hamachi ip in the server.dat and it wouldnt load co but i deleted 1 char out of the server.dat and it loaded conquer but it just says reinstall co server.dat corrupt i add the extra char back in and take away 1 char from the hamachi ip and it works fine so is there a way to increase the ammount of chars in the server.dat so i can get others on my server

bumb can some 1 tell me why i get the server running on my friends pc and the server.dat is changed but he still cannot connect even when in my hamachi room?
