Macrogoblin is down!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I talked with Jack and Macrogoblin was Ddos attacked and he is unsure about when it will be back up, and also the bot should run if you go here:

my macro goblin is still in the trial period and has to login upon each startup, so this doesnt work for me. :( how long is the mg trial period?

just got an email from Jack.

so double-clicking the Aion_Goblin.mg file wont work for trial users

For those who's trial period is actually over and have logged in since it was over they might be able to use the bot by opening:

As long as you dont' need to update the bot or log in it should work.

I'll be working on multiple solutions to overcome the DDoS attack that will hopefully provide solutions even before the DDoS attack is over. I'll also be looking at long term DDoS attack solutions in case it happens again.

The source of the attacks could be either a competitor who's rented out a bot-net OR it could be part of a recent spree of DDoS extortion attacks on MMO Gold, Cheat, and Bot sites. There are some blogs out there about it - or so the better half tells me.

Btw, a DDoS attack is an external brute force attack that simply overloads the domain's access. No passwords or data has been compromised. In fact I can access the website through alternative addresses. But the site is not fully functional using the alternative address so I'll work on that too.

I'll also be working on getting a twitter or facebook account up to keep you informed better.

Doesn't work :( When i launch Aion_Goblin.mg he need to do a verification from MacroGoblin Servers (to authentificate me). How to pass this ?

yea i bought the bot and its saying im on a BS trial some how. pretty lame that i paid and still not a member. this blows i got work now and no exp for me ALL this weekend. sucks ass man. come on jack own these worthless hackers and get your site back up!!!!!

Yeah I get the same, and I don't see a way around it because even if he decides to temporarily turn off authenticaiton, you'd need a new client and of course he can't push any patches because you can't connect :)

It was/is a great bot, just need to wait till they fix/clean up things.

It is weird that he requires authentication even after the update because I thought we bought his for life, but only updates for a year.

If I choose to skip or can't update, I still should be able to play the version I have without authenticating.

What sucks is that i had the program running but had to restart and couldnt log back in :/ now i gotta work all w/e without the bot grinding for me lol. If only i hadnt restarted.....

Realize the software and bots will not work yet. But communication will be better with those links above. The more emails and PMs I have to answer the longer fixing the software will take. There is no ETA, sorry. It could even take over a day, I'm not sure, I'm in new territory - but working hard to get people back online.

Hey Jack, sucks really hard damn douchebags. Everyone knows you care about your customers like no one else and youre always updating your stuff almost instantly. Hope everything turns out allright.
