Be carefull guys. more than 50 players were banned yesterday evening for exploit selling AC p1. I have known 6 of them (friends of mine). Got banned almost the same time.
A bannwave? of course. Imagine a wave catching everyone who is the exploiting bay and currently in its flow direction and beeing banned. i have no more informations. but 6 friends told me (via fb and skype) that they were banned while selling ac p1. I asked if they knew other friends who got banned and they answered with "yes". It was a wave of bans, doesnt mater how much. just one of them told me that he knew that amount of bans. dont know where he got his information.Quote:
the 70-80% "Sell P1 1g" etc. in the lfg tool was huge annoying, all the people was saying that ANet do nothing about the dungeon exploiters - now you guys see they do.
But "Bannwave"? No..
Just a few banned Accounts, not a bannwave.
But - are you know more about it?
Your Text have not rly much informations / source links.. i want to know more about it please.
greets

A ban wave is a large scale event (usually gaming related), in which certain parties/accounts get permanently barred from services, for major disruptions. An event like this will usually occur as retaliation against those who are unable to play the game normally, and resort to cheating and using cheating clients.

“Safe Spot” – Standing in a location to hold aggro or attack a monster/boss while it is unable to damage you (basic attack) and does not leash back to its original starting position.
This is an abuse of a geometry and/or pathing bug, and is considered an exploit.

I’ll be very clear here:
If a GM finds a player that is using a “Safe Spot”, that player will be moved out of the safe spot and warned (via in-game text). If they are caught again, that account will be temporarily suspended.
If a GM finds a player that is using a “Safe Spot” and selling the dungeon run, that account will be temporarily suspended without warning.
