If you open up a client's itemtype.dat you will see it is in a weird language. The itemtype decryptor is used to, as plainly said, decrpyt it so it is into actual words.

it also decrypts more than itemtype.dat, it decrypts some of the other .dat files too (ex: Monster.dat)

well i've explored alot in the client xD, like deleting silent.dat will not censor words anymore, you can change an npcs name by duplicating it in npc.ini, changing the name and ID and saving (multiply ID by 10 and thats what u use for the type), etc, it goes on forever

There is also an ini file that you choose what words you want censored.

only in older patches, the current patch has silent.dat with the censored words
