What is Ultimate Edition 2.3? Ultimate Edition 2.3 was built off Ultimate Edition 2.2 (Ubuntu Jaunty Jackalope based) all upgrades pre-installed as of current. This release was built to satisfy the users of KDE. With this distro you get the best of both worlds Gnome & KDE and the following additional environments user selectable at login window / software (specifically):

* KDE Desktop environment (both)
* XFCE Desktop environment (x64)
* XBMC Media center (x64)
* Lanshark – Filesharing application for local area networks (x86)
* Clamtk – GUI based Virus scanner (x86)
* A new theme (both)

When I installed it I thought why not listen to a little music & use compiz as it installs. There is also integrated third party repositories 1 of which purchased by me, containing cutting edge software. If you have a 64 bit processor I highly recommend the 64 bit version it is very snappy and will be my default O/S at least until Ultimate Edition 2.4 Alpha becomes a beta ;) With the x64 version would that not be the best of 3 worlds with XFCE?
