Heyho , im not a coder or dev of any kind , just thought i'd leave the idea here and ask if its possible to do without huge issues.
Basically , in character creation , silkroad has this annoying af suspension of not being able to have space's in your nickname , all i wanted to know is if its possible to change it , also expanding the amount of letters you can have in ur nickname.

How'd you send a private message to someone like this?

Same thought. Only through bot or through msg box.

If there are Spaces in the Nicknames, players can not PM each other..

So i think it's a bad idea^^

So, you're saying you can PM a character with a space on his name?

you can change the name from the database
you can only send private message
about pm you can send pm by mbot or any another bot
but regular pm i don't think so. maybe sro_client.exe edit

I think it's possible but very hard. Like you make a script where a charname "I am the king of kings" becomes automatically "I_am_the_king_of_kings" in the database but stays with spaces ingame. And then at PM section (whereever that might be) you put like "find space change to "_" ... something like that. But then next question: how does the chatbox knows where the name ends ? Like the charname is Im Cool , I write Im Cool Hi , how does the box knows if the charname is "im cool hi" or i write "hi" to "im cool" really this is too much effort for this small feature. We all got used to it using "_" instead of space anyway.
