Client not logging in.

Alright, this is an odd problem that just recently started occurring. I'm thinking it could be my network, because I formatted my computer, and I still have the issue. Maybe some others have had this and can help. So, whether it be Retail Conquer, a private server, OR my own local server, I get 1 of these 4 issues randomly.

1.Connecting to accserver. Which I see in my console, I get passed accserver, but no connection gets received on the message server.

2. I don't even get passed the accserver, and just get the "Network is congested" message box.

3. Wrong password message box popping up, even though no connection to acc server.

4. I successfully login, which is rare.

Has anyone had these issues? Maybe a firewall issue? Other people can log into my server just fine without any issues whatsoever.

The firewall is something I could see being the problem, but it should have an exception for the client in there, if not make one and allow inbound and outbound connections and see if that work

I would breakpoint your socket connections and make sure it is passing through your accserver sockets just fine.

Which it is. I've tested everything regarding connections. Like I said, I'm almost positive it isn't a source sided issue, because like I said, it happens with retail, private, and my local.

The Conquer.exe program tries make several connections before you try to connect: one to CO server status webpage (or server, I am not sure) and another. If the second doesn't get correct information the client is then unable to connect to any server. Check to see wether you have something blocking these connections or wether their data gets corrupted somehow.

The wrong password is a flash issue which has been there forever.

I've breakpointed everything possible within the source, no luck finding out the cause of this issue. Like I said, I'm hoping someone has experience this and can helpf ind a solution.

Make sure your antivirus/firewall does not block any port of the game. I assume when you say it's not working on retail you mean you are trying to connect with a clean client. If so and you have problems something is blocking some ports of the game. Check that out and let us know.

Yeah I've even shut off my firewall when I try to log in. Same outcome. And yeah, clean client.

Do you have any AV's by any chance that could have some kind of protection turned on whether it being a firewall or something else and not just the Windows Firewall.
