Related Threads Before Posting a Question

Hey there,

Since I joined the community, I've noticed that questions are often repeated in question sections. Recently, I came across a solution that may work for this board. Before a new thread is created, a search on related threads (seen at the bottom of each thread on our board) is shown and the user must check a box saying that they've reviewed the related threads and their question remains unanswered.

If you need clarification, this is the related threads section that I referred to:
[Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...]
What I've starred are related threads that would have answered the question asked on the question thread. It may help reduce spam questions and frustration. Let me know what you think. Thanks for reading.

We already had a german Suggestion about this.

The Suggestion itself seems to be pretty good, but I guess the perfomance this would need may be not worth it.

It's better to have a German and English thread regarding one suggestion.

Ah. I did my best to find an existing suggestion. I couldn't find one in English. I agree, the way the other thread suggests implementing the system would be very costly. I don't think it would be too costly if it were done just before submitting or after the title field has been deactivated.

you have probably no clue about how little performance this costs, do you? this huge and to-the-ass rich website has some neat servers and we're living in 2014, so what's the problem with performance everyone is talking about? it just performs a simple search. you can't even call that an effort.

I forgot about the Google Custom Search.
This search should be perfect for this suggestion, much better than the normal one of epvp.
In this case this suggeston got my full support

Perfect solution would be one thread with translations, but I guess its ok this way.
