I showed a concept similar to this

The idea is to just use the "item link message" ([item Stone(+1) IIIIIIII CCCCCCCC] where I is the Id of the item and C is the color code) whenever something "valuable" is dropped.
But like you said, obivously this requires some sort of bot, and that's not something you just make in 5 minutes anymore thanks to their anti-bot system.
