About bots

Tested 2 bots, can say one works flawless, the other one needs "special" care.
agBot will work if you follow the instructions for installing it, and installing the libraryfiles.
iBot is a clientless bot which is real fast. You will need 2 things to successfully run it: the C++ 2008 Redistributable and Windows Media Player 9 or 10.
You can get both of them with winetricks, and, after you've installed them, it will work flawless. Good luck logging in!

The trouble is that there is no Video PlayonLinux Program to support the Wine Emulation this problem as well. ATI video card, I do not recommend the Windows emulation. The Bots will not be likely to run because the games are only prepared! Programs not

Yep. Runs fine. You can record SRO too, like fraps.

I simply ran SRO using wine, and installed some other runtimes to make other bots work, by default wine can run SRO and SBot perfectly.

I had no issues at all, to me, SRO runs better on linux..

But if you like me, and want to try out another operating system, make sure you have XP/7 on dual boot or with VMware, because after a while, I got sick of having to tweak every single thing to make the simplest of things to run normally, I am back on XP for now, waiting for stable Karmic.

I totally agree. The bots and everything is way faster on Linux ( tested on ubuntu ) So i suggest if u're running a goldbot company or just plain 5-6 goldbots - Go Linux
