Pserver Problem

ok well i followed the guide here:
[Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...]

but when i get to:
5.now go to "c/wamp/mysql/bin" open winmysqldamin.exe when it ask you for user n pass write this info "user:test pass:test" now you should see that program with a green dot if not repeat Steps "2 N 5"

It doesn't ask me for a username or a password.

So can someone help me out please?

Im trying to start a private server for me and some friends right now for fun. I also asked them if they would help me develope it some and manage the server with me, just waitting on a reply from them right now.
Once we get it up and going and set it the way we want we are going to open it so everyone can use the server.

Did you delete the My.ini file from your C/Windows folder?

yup deleted that

if your mysql shows only that error Not Found Driver 3.51 Not Found dont worry it doesnt matter i got that error as well and it works just fine:cool:

if you want to change your password easy and with out messing around for 1000 times
then just download navicat

make a local conection to root (no pass)
then go to users
then edit user
and add a password

there you go ... password is set to your password
and you dint needed to mess around :D

im looking to setup a server but like i said in the first post it dont want to work and with where i think im messing up

well double posting may be against the rules but i hit a dead end
when i try and run the account server the program stops responding can someone help me out?
PS im useing Vista if that somehow makes a difference which i doubt.

you have this problem:
Account.exe can NOT access database

Possible causes:
Incorrect Login Information
Incorrect privledges
Offline MySQL (not running)
Database/Table Non-existant

TroubleShooting:
For the top 3 do this:
1. Get Navicat
2. Setup a SQL connection and use the same login and password you are trying with your Account.exe
3. Try to open this connection.
4. You should get an error that will allow you to know what is going on.

If you get an error it should tell what the problem is (error 10060 means its offline 10061 means firewall block 10040 means host block (SQL Locked you out) - I not too sure about 10040) you can then fix it by using the test test login or root test/rufeng/root/null login. Adding or editing an existing account to be able to gain access using the account.exe login.

If you connect no problem then it is reason 4 and you need to make a working account table in the database that it states to it will look in with it's config files.

then you have a firewall issue. Firewalls usually apply to outside connections. So I am guessing that your configs say that your database IP is either your IP or the computer it is stored on IP. If your database is on the same computer or network you do not need to use your external IP (the one you get from whatismyip.com). If it is on the same computer use 127.0.0.1 if it is on a computer on the same network the just use that computer's network IP. (Displayed in the status app of your network settings.)

everything is on this computer i've been posting with XD that is untill i can get the money to build a computer to sit on the side and run the server for me

ok well every now is setup right but the acc, msg and NPC servers keep not working
any ideas?
