Excel Question

I have been searching around google and I even called Microsoft and they hanged up cause they didn't know. Anyways... I am trying to multiply the entire Y column because thats my exp for monsters instead of doing it manually 1 by 1 is there a formula or something I can do to do it very quickly?

Exp by 50 and Dil by 100 please.

Ok, what you have to do is.

Take down the row and column ofc.
and over to side of everything place the formula.
=SUM(Y2*2)
Then you click on the box that has that forumula (which should now be showing the exp value in the column y row 2 box * (times) 2.
And the box should have a dark box around it and a square at the bottom right of it. click and hold that square, and drag it down till its in line with the last monster.

It will multiply all the exp values to that amount.
Save the document so it saves the value not the formula. (IMPORTANT)

Re-open the file then copy the entire list that you just made and then paste it over the old exp values, then you can remove the list you made off to side.


If you don't save it, then re-open it, you will only copy the formula in the box's not the value.
Note: the formula might differ a LITTLE because I just used open office (free version of microsoft office) but as far as i can remember, if it is going to be any different you might just have to tell it to not increase the value of the *2.(which is done with a $ in front of the 2, so *$2) Because of how the drag option works it takes the numbers n adds one to it for you. Microsoft exel should be smart enough to not increase the *2 value as well as the free version anyway, but it should pop up with a suggestion if its wrong anyway.

If you provide pictures it will help me more, im a visual person.

Only thing i know is for example ur exp on blaverus is 500 then do =10*500 will make it 10x but this still takes long time if u do it manualy thats why i got logitech G110 which allows macros and scripts :) otherwise ther is a way to do the column at once but i cud never find out on google xD gl finding the way haha

Haha it aint so bad cause only 800 rows and some rows are 0 so i got up to row 411 out of like 800 something in 15mins of just copy and paste

Using the setup i posted before should work.

Like, open the csv in exel, go to the end of all the csv's basic info.
So basically you want to start at GH2 if you using a3 files.

Put in the formula so you are multiplying the exp (column y) in row 2 (first monster).
Which SHOULD be: =SUM(Y2*2) (If that formula is not working for you, click on the sum symbol next to where you can type at the top. Hover your mouse over icons there till you find it. Then you can just put in what box you want to use as a reference (y2) then times (*) it by whatever value you want.)

Then press enter and it should show you the value of the first monsters exp times by 2.
If so, click on that box so its highlighted, then at bottom right of the box there should be a square. Click and hold that square then drag it down.

I really don't feel like getting screen shots of each part and making a "tutorial" on how to do it just because it is quite simple.

no offense but ur explanation sux ass, hes having a difficult time understanding cus ur making it too complicated, obviously another post is needed and warranted otherwise he wouldnt be having trouble with ur explanation

u failed to tell him how to save it, just it was important to do so, which no offense, but was stupid

i didnt take something that could be said in one sentence and make it into a 3 page tutorial.

They want a tutorial so they know how to do it themselves...
And I offered to do it for them. There is a difference.

You could go ahead and say the same to me about replying to you, but I'm just replying because I don't see the point nor sense in that post, other then to basicaly say "ok fuck you not helping you" which is just not needed to say.
