NPC exclamation marks?

Okay, i have searched all over the internet and i can't seem to find it. Does anybody know what handles the exclamation, question and etc. marks on NPCs? -Is it a packet or you need to do it only server side? -Anybody has an idea?

Yea but how would it be done do need to code the packet so lets say u finish the quest and the packet automatically removes it or?

The client controls what quests exist. The quests packet (sent at login client>server and then server>client) controls what stage you are at in each quest.

The client then uses this information to determine if npcs should have ! or ? over their head.

Oh I see, thanks. I realized now so once u add quest in questinfo.ini lets say with start NPC Alpina client automatically reads the quest and adds ! to the NPC.

In fact, if you don't send any response to the client's request all npcs which available quests starts with will show (!) effect.

Then when server sends the packet telling client the quest started the end npc will show silver (?) effect.
