Why are we where we are?

Yo, what's up elitepvpers.
I've been following the NosTale's hacking, or whatever you want to call it, scene and I've asked myself plenty of questions.
First of all, does someone know how did 99nos appear? As you may know, it has been probably the only one 100%-working-server ever and it desappeared by gameforge reasons I think, but I never knew how and who created it.

And the topic I would like to discuss is why this community is so toxic, I mean, everybody flames each other and there's no united work and what are our limitations in terms of the private servers, why we can't go further than we've gone.

About 99nos: Some people say he quit work in NosTale Team and used their servers. That also could be the reason why he HAD to close it.
Many kids play this game ;) and just stupid retards aswell.

I think being the only p-server is such a legal risk because if you don't release your code and entwell demands you, you are gonna go to prision and furthermore no one is gonna be able to create other p-server. If instead of that you release your code, there are gonna be a lot of p-servers and they can't demand a single one.

It's because, as you've said, the community is such a jerk.
There could be so much awesome stuff public, but they just fucked it up.

Yeah, but think about Metin2 for example, there are as many private servers as you can imagine because someone did it and released it. Being a community means sharing stuff and working together. A lot of people think,"what if I release my code? There are several people that don't know how to code so they aren't gonna give me anything useful." They can give you effort and dedication to improve your stuff, that's what I think.

But Nostale is not Metin2 ... anyway you already said "because someone did it and released it" ... this person "someone" did probably the same thing as the 99nos guy did but the 99nos guy didn't released it.

Just take a look at World of Warcraft, there is still no 100% PServer. Not even Vanilla.

I won't use a own forum, elitepvpers should do it.

There are quite nice people here to be honest. I'm obviously talking basing on the time i've been in the community. I think people like us that are interested on this to go ahead should group and comunicate by skype, making a group or something to focus our effort on the same thing

I think the main problem is that Nostale is hackable in many ways.
Nostale is a game designed for kids. Kids want success, and if they dont get it, they google "Nostale Hacks" / "Nostale Bots".
Here they got the perfect forum for their goal. If Kids dont get what they want they get angry, they flame other players. Most likely in this forum because ist the best shelter in this situation. But there are many players who act like adults as well and think about things they say and write, so you cant say this comunity is toxic all in all.
