Issue with test server

Alright so I was going to make a test server, just to practice with server things, and to learn how to run/create a server. I am using Microsoft SQL Server 2012. I can't even install the bloody sql server. I have had 2 people claiming they understand how to do it and have done it before, no luck. I tried 2008 SQL but kept getting some begininvoke error. I believe I do have a sql server installed, from many tries, but cant open via managment tool. Would really apreciate help :p thank you

If you keep trying you prolly have scattered files installed from the over time you tried to install, that what happened to me and it took me millions of tries to figure out what to clean then it worked. I personally never have been able to install sql 2012. So I sudgest you try and clean up complete the old files so you wont get errors becuase of that then it should work...Use MSSQL 2008 R2.

Hope this Helps

sql server 2008 or 2012 is not the problem, be sure that your computer is abilitate to work with all the upgrade for sql, u need windows7 ultimate or a windows version whit the service pack for it, here are relase about or search on google.
(download sql whit advanced so u download all the file needed for the managment etc in 1 time without problem)

Id say you delete everything you think was made by trying to download sql then try again but this time make sure each step is correct...i might have a vid somewhere on how to do it...
