Private Server Patch & Feature Preferences

Hey everyone,

I know I've asked this question before, but the community changes and I hope to receive more detailed answers this time around. What features / qualities attract you the most to a private server? What is your preferred patch to play on? What do you like and dislike about certain patches? Please, feel free to just dump opinions on me, I would really appreciate your time in doing so.

A complete copy of Conquer Online around patch (5017-5065). I don't care lotteries, but after that Potency stuff, I quited playing. I just wanna play SS/FB that's all.

IMO, after the monk's existence, give or take afew useless patches, but at that certain point, you have everything you would like in a MMORPG game.

Though you would need to adjust the server to be fair.

Note: If you just want to copy a certain patch, then 5017-5065 is the one, but if you want to think out of the box, then any patch would fit as long as you remove that lame features, and make it balanced.

The game will get boring if you are maxed out easily & custom systems to improve the server.

You basically start fresh and implement new stuff without having to worry about newer features TQ introduced :)

So sorry for this reply, but i was thinkiing to make server new patch (5530+) but with 5065 system , example : no monk , no soul (maybe just the looking of them), no need to donate, all aare the same strenght , totally full pvp server (FB and SS only).

What do you think guys? Will i have lots of players in it?

Honestly, the whole PvP "fanboyism" started to become silly, everytime you ask someone about PServers preference, they say PvP, and somehow.. AcidCO, which is the greatest PvP server ever made; keeps closing due to inactivity!

Only-PvP is easy to get bored of. What would really take CO experience to the next level is a solid storyline, that would make players interact with NPCs, and make them ACTUALLY read what NPCs say!
And quests, especially heavy teamwork quests, CO is all the way about community, and somehow no one ever thought of making heavy co-op quests.

Well that your opinion anyway, others say it's good because leveling and doing items like that is something could be found in all servers and after you finish everything leveling and be strong, you won't have anything to do except playing with other players, so they like playing direct FB and SS is the best 2 skills in co could be PVP, if there new players, it won't be boring. I think.

I personally admire PvP servers, but it's already there in AcidCO's form, and Levelling in Trinity and Element and such, now it's time to come up with something extraordinary, and I believe in Fang for delivering that ;)

Thanks for the feedback. I figured the public's opinion was shifted more towards a unique, classic gameplay experience, but I didn't expect it to be so heavily in favor of it. That's good news for my project's aim. It's interesting that the "CPs" option got no votes when that seems to be the only experience offered by private servers these days.
