[Read&Answer] Two Questions

03/16/2014 12:05 xema786#1
Hey, let's say I insert 500k weapons in the itemweapon.csv
Will the server still read them and work? Cause I heard from people that there's a limit.
(Don't 65535, 255 bla bla bullshit me, my testserver reads beyond that....)
And don't comment about it, just answer the god damn questions marked red.

Let's say I want to remove the magic/noble/divinenoble from a weapon. For say, I want to upgrade a DN weapon to +8 and it keeps the DN options and then when I want to upgrade to +9, bu now I want the DN options to get removed, is that possible? And how, if so.

1. insert the value and run the server, if it runs then it works .....
2. im not sure you can do that with dn stats, you can add other stats, and increase them with fortifying lvl, and still be able to get the dn drops.

Well, forget question 1. I can check it out for myself.

Question 2 is what I need professionally answered at the moment. Cause I have a DN +8 sword, I want to upgrade it to +9 and I want the new weapon (Sword +9) to have no DN stats left, I want it to be clean.

I highly doubt it. Because the enchanting system just changes the items id (as far as info in DB and what parts of the item it changes goes)
DN stats are kept next to, but separate to the item id, so they are "stuck" on the item.

The only way I can see this happening is a complete re-work/custom way to enchant gear, which would be quite a bit of .exe editing.

It would bring something new to the dekaron community to be able to re-work the enchanting system, but it isn't so simple to change unfortunately.

Just a question, why do you want all +9's to be clean? O.o

Oh, one other idea in terms of removing dn stats, there are some tuts on here somewhere that show where/how to read the dn stats on a wep from the DB. You MAY be able to make a sql querry that checks for +9 items and removes their dn stats if any. (I don't know if just 'removing" the info for the dn stats would break it, as i have never tried it. and a query that big would be quite a hindrance on the server load.

1.) This is only available with the action 9 based exe. "UNLESS YOU MODIFY YOUR EXE TO READ IN LARGER BYTES".

2.) You can in fact change the weapon to have (DN) stats at +8 and then without at +9. "Though I have no idea why you would want to do such a thing".

Refer to the following columns: MinOption1 through MaxOption3

He Isn't asking bout what they drop with.
He is asking about when you enchant it from +8 to +9.
The server/game doesn't read what dn stats it CAN get as it pluses, only as it drops as far as I know...

It may be worth a shot, but i doubt removing them drop options from +9 items will make them have no DN stats ever.

At ur +9 weapon remove MinOption1 MaxOption1 MinOption2 MaxOption2 MinOption3 MaxOption3
see if this works :) cus these codes are for magic noble divine stats.

Hey bright star? Thats exactly what I posted. Those columns manage the dn stats, and yes you can (ENHANCE) them if need be.

When you enchant (plus (+)) a piece of gear it does NOT refresh what dn stats are on it, nor the value of the dn stats that are on it.
It ONLY does that bit when the item drops.

What I said is not exactly what you posted sigh...

And I know you can change what the dn stats give, I've tweaked mine across the board for all the levels, and made some of my own cuz there wasn't enough by default.

Those columns only show which range of dn stats will/can be placed on the specific item, not what the dn stats are nor their value by the way.

No offense, but for a "Dekaron csv Extremist" (according to your own little tag you stuck on yourself) you are quite dense... Read what is said in the post before you write a reply. And by that I mean the WHOLE post not just bits n pieces.

not to start an argument, or take sides, but josh is correct, those only apply to dropped items, nothing else. the only thing you can change that will actually change are what ppl like to call 'Legendary Stats', but again, he is correct you cannot change the DN stats on items that are being plused, only to items that drop, so unless you plan to drop plused items, changing those columns will be pointless for anything else.

each of these items have different magic/noble/divine stats, JB from rising explained how it works few years ago and it still applies. the pictures you attached dont really resemble the stats in the info table you provided.
also the items in the picture should have 8 additional bytes for gems and the header should be much bigger (+64 for 4 slots according to JBs notes)

at least branding isnt as complicated....

Lets get back on topic and learn the fundamentals of a simple question.

-------------------------------
Let's say I want to remove the magic/noble/divinenoble from a weapon. For say, I want to upgrade a DN weapon to +8 and it keeps the DN options and then when I want to upgrade to +9, bu now I want the DN options to get removed, is that possible? And how, if so.
-------------------------------

The columns that I suggested he should look at a few posts before will effect the weapon in the manner he wants it.

(For +8 set your ranges and for +9 remove the ranges.)

For your information. Just because I didn't tell the guy exactly where the stats come from or how they work, doesn't mean I'm a dense idiot. I never called you out of your name and sorry if calling you "Bright" was a little offensive. I just pointed out that his question was answered already and that this was blown way out of proportion.
