Converting RAW .crb emblems into images...

02/25/2014 17:31 Timlock#1
After a few hours work today and lots of trial and error... I successfully wrote a php script that will convert the server side .crb guild / union emblems into workable image files...

here is the final result: [Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...] & [Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...]

My question is... who would be interested in a system like this for their website?

It can be used to display emblems next to guild / character names on ranking / statistic pages or anywhere...

Seriously... you have no idea how hard it was to figure out how to convert the raw 2 bit crb file data into workable 3-3-2 bit image colors...

Thats nice information, but its wrong... The explanation about the bmp format is correct.. but the vsro files do not store the dynamic image content in the usual format, the order is out of sequence.

Also... even if that does work... its a manual system... not automatic... and requires manually converting ALL emblems...

My system has the proper sequence of the color palette, and is automatic.. only converts the emblems that need to be displayed on the fly..

I see. I never looked into the format myself, but though the blog was correct. The blog says the theory he used for implement the converter he made.

An old ESRO (also known as Zelos) developer, Ni, but he is not updating it anymore.

That information is from early 2009 when we were still working with the old ksro files, it might have changed over the years, or the information might be wrong (I don't think I ever heard Ni talk about it).

However since we have access to the modules that convert the images, and since we can convert as many images as we want it shouldn't be too hard to reverse engineer the format, and writing an automatic php script to do it should be the least of your problems

Woah. In 2009, I used to look for an Ong plvl party in iSRO :)
I wish if I had known more about computers back then.

I'm just curious tim... What was the reason of posting some screens of converting crb to xxx here?

Did you really just come here to get some praise?

Good work!
Awesome!
Keep going!
Nice!

Hope that's enough if you really want to be praised that much.

Im more experienced with php, then with other languages. And like i said twice... this is a function to automatically convert and display the images on a web page as needed... not a program to convert the files so you can manually upload / display them.

Jesus dude, I do not give a flying fuck about "praise". I care about respect, and helping the community with something, as far as i know, that has not been done. If you are being sarcastic like I think you are you can go climb up a large pole and squat, if not... thanks, i guess.

I might have misunderstood your first post, do you want to release this program/class or do you actually want to sell it?
