Hello,
My PC Specs are:
Video Adapter Gigabyte GeForce GTX 550 Ti 1GB 192-bit
CPU Type DualCore Intel Core i5-650, 3333 MHz (25 x 133) (It actually has 4 Cores)
Physical Memory Total 8183 MB Crucial Ballistix Sport 2x4GB DDR3 1600 CL9 1.5V
Motherboard Name Asus P7P55-M

It runs Battlefield 3 Smoothly, bet Lags GTA IV even on low settings, dont even know what could be the problem, maybe you guys can help me :)

GTA IV is a shitty PC port.

try to update your graphics card driver, download geforce experience
you can optimize the game u play aswell with this tool

i had the same prob. with my laptop i bought a notebook coolpad and now it runs smooth maybe you need to get a better gpu cooler

you also may try to clean your pc from dust/dirt

Doesn't run well with my higher specs, but actually with my mid end... it would be right after DMC3 on the list of the worst ported games ever.

The dirt is not a problem as most of my components are new, i run Battlefield 3 on Ultra with absolutely no lag at all, so i guess thats the problem from GTA IV itself

Please download the latest patch and drivers.

My system (notebook)
Im running Windows 8.1
Intel I7-3610QM @ 2.30GHz
8GB 1600MHz Ram
Nvidia GT 650M 2GB

Playing on High in Full HD with 35-60FPS, maybe becouse of 2GB Vram.
