sql 2000 error

i am running win server 2003 R2 with sql 2000 sp4

i am having a problem with the cast server not being able to connect with the sql server:

[Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...]

i have tried putting my local ip (127.0.0.1 &127.1.1.1) my local network IP (192.168.1.xxx) and my WAN ip inside the config.ini in the cast server's folder, i have made sure all the port is correct (1433) in both the client network utility and the server network utility. so i am completly stumped, i am a noob by ur standards but i should be able to answer any questions u have and understand most of what you tell me, but i am losing hair and patience over it :P

HELP! lol

(and yes, the sql server is running, i have both sql and windows authentication, and have checked dbl checked the username and pass i am using in the config.ini with what is in the security table of the DB)

Give me a picture of your sql service manager when the server is running.

Try this. Download and install himachi server or get you a dedicated server. Then take the IP address and put it all in the server files. (Cast,Login,session,DKserver) and if sp4 is properly installed then the server should run. if not then reply back let us know if you got it or not. btw if it works pls leave thanks

you installed SQL wrong i guess
