You will be able to run silkroad server on your phone/tablet, you and your friends can join it via lan/network for example. It use SQLlite database. Server will work on every device with android 2.2 and higher.

In your case, what will the characters be? streetfigter sro edition?
Its about not having to use strong pc and not having hard to setup files and problems. You dont even need a internet connection, you can turn on access point on your phone and connect to it with friends to play some. Just one click and you can play.

why would you want to run a server on a mobile device without wired internet, a persistent operating system or even a stable supply of power?

Because many of us have one or more android devices, but not everyone have pc strong enought to host vsro and play, second thing is not everyone wants to play around with vsro files and thier problems to have some fun. Another reason its portability. Thats why i thinked about this emulator and i wanna check if i wasnt wrong decision.

are you implying an arm based mobile device has more processing power than the average pc?

Ive done whole socket part, threading, gamserver constructions and login server it was even harder cause i want it to work on old androids aswell. Ive made really much in last weeks but before i go further i wanted to make sure that i will get feedback from community, for me it seems that i cant even expect 100ppls interested(only 10 ppls voted for now), cmon guys dont let me think that this community isnt worth it.

I don't think iOS supports raw networking + you can't publish applications without having a developers account (which is paid, obviously)

I think i will be able to port emulator to ios, because of its contstruction it shouldn't be hard to port. Anyway for now i just want to know how many ppls are interested in this idea to make myself sure about its worth to develop it. If yes then i should be able to release first version in a short time.
