[Tutorial] Temp. Fix Seafight Custom Client

I will post this as it seems much people get error's when for example a player with the Asbru design comes in your screen.

For example, the error will be like:

This is is caused because of the file ship_444.swf does not exist in the seafight custom client/data/ships folder.

This can be fixed by updating your client, but if there isn't an update yet, you can probably do it yourself very easily.

So how to do it?

As the error says, it isn't able to load ship_444.swf from your computer.
This means you can place a file with that name and extension in the folder to resolve the error problem. So that's what we're going to do.

1. Open you custom client folder and navigate to Seafight custom client/data/ships/modified
2. Search for the file you get an error form, it'll probably not be there.
3. Copy another file from the folder ( for example. ship_443.swf ) to another place ( ex. desktop )
4. Rename this file to the file that's missing ( ship_444.swf )
5. Now move this renamed file to Seafight custom client/data/ships/modified
6. You're done. :)


What you've done is you created the missing file to resolve the error problem.
The con of it is, ship_444.swf wil have exactly the same color as ship_443.swf.
But that's probably not a problem because it's a bokor design which you're not planning to shoot with you scar/pixel bot.

Hope this will help you resolving this kind of errors.
But remember, this is only a TEMP. Fix
You should update the client as soon as there's an update available!

i dont find "ship_444.swf, and ship_443.swf
i need move "ship_442.swf , and make 2x
rename the 2 "ship_442.swf , ship_443.swf and ship_444.swf, and move back

Thx bro tried it already yesterday. Client wasnt crashin but i was kinda invisible with my asbru design cause he did not load anything :D needed to change design to be able to let the bots run

Or just download the swf by rightclicking the link and "Save link under".
Then move the file to client/data/ships

Yes also this is possible but it will not be in "Custom Client Style" but just the normal desigb.

What do you mean with "Custom Client Style" it's just an swf file, right? and if you just copy some item and rename it it won't work cuz the designs are different the swf file is just the flash version of a design, so the ships you see sailing on the seachart are the swf file's if you just copy some random other swf file it will be a different design...

Youre completely right, but it isnt meant to show the real design but just to get rid of the error you get if theres no file with that exact name. So its a temp fix to get rid of the error, now you wont get any error anymore so your bot wont crash.

but with this you are saying that it should replace something but it doesn't know what it should replace cuz it's the wrong file..
