How to edit item drop sounds?

Hey i am wondering how i can change the sound of an item dropping that i am looking for to a meteor drop sound or fireworks or something so i notice it in bird more easily

Not possible.. because items of a certain category all have and use the same sound file.. You could not make it so a elite item made a different sound, but you could make it so every item sounded like a met drop, which would drive you insane.

Only handing thing you can do is change the sound of a met or db drop, but why would you.. it's noticeable enough lol

Go into directory: E:\Program Files\Conquer 2.0\sound

Find the sound file to replace, you can do this by creating a playlist with all the sounds and listening out for hte one you want to replace as they are numbered, making it harder to find.

Create a sound file with the same name as the one in your folder (you may want to back up the original), you should be able to do this with whatever you want so long as it's the same filetype (extensions, e.g. .wav). You can use whatever you want, personally I'd opt for a bit of Hendrix.

This definitely used to work a few years ago but I don't know about know (I haven't played in ages) but it's worth a try.
