Wow that code looks super ugly. Also, the error is pretty damn clear, the user is either not properly configured or you're simply just using the wrong password.

I would recommend posting on the actual thread to receive better support.

Regardless, you have a configuration error with your database it seems. Your user credentials are obviously wrong

dont know if anyone would like to but, teamview with me and help me? if not then i am forever lost

i have NO clue where I went wrong, when I ran the SQL, everything ran fine, it's always when I get to the debugging, i get this or some other error.

Have you tried looking at the directions in the first post of the thread? It says that a file is supposed to be created and opened for you to edit upon the first run. Did you configure that at all / install everything you were supposed to install? What are the steps you performed in setting up this server?

Yes, yes, and yes. I did just as he said.

How did you set up MySQL? Did you use the official service which contains a wizard on how to configure it? After you install MySQL, it should ask you to configure it by giving it a password. That password is what you're going to put in your server configuration file. If you cannot find a trail of Navicat, MySQL Workbench is a good alternative that I use. It's completely free from the company who makes MySQL.

Yeah, I set up MySQL through the wizard, I set the password and everything...I think I might have found my problem, I don't know yet, but I'm going to retrace my step, I think this reply finally triggered something in my brain...

okay, so i found i was one letter off on my password, how stupid of me not to notice, so now i got a new error, but i think it's an easy one to solve,

Additional Information : Unknown Redux Database

Or something like that, so another dumb question, right after I run the SQL and everything goes fine, I open up Navicat, create an account, then???

Well I went to run the source [debug] and that error or whatever it is popped up. Now I'm thinking here, was the SQL supposed to save? And if it did, was it also supposed to rewrite the .snl also?

Currently, I accidentally "re-ran" the SQL, so I'm going to have to w8 and see...

this is what i get when i run the source...

There is a giant thread for just this issue.

I don't know why you feel your issue is so special that it needs its own thread when you could just post in the main redux thread and receive near instant help.

PS: As already answered, your issue is you've filled the setup with incorrect information. Make sure it matches your mysql setup and that it's working properly if you connect to your mysql using something like navicat or w/e else you use.

What is the point of it now after you have already created a thread and your problem has already been answered?

The same reason I suggested he go there in the first place.

These questiosn will be asked again. The answers should all be easily found in one convenient location and not scattered across dozens of threads in various sections.

If you're having an issue with something brought up in thread X then your questions (and the resulting answers) also belong in thread X.

It's just more organized and easier for future users to find. Look at many of the older releases. We have many threads and releases still going strong after many years and I'm sorry but I have no desire to see 5 new lotf/albetrox/ncos/coemu setup guides and bug reports every time I log onto the forums ahah.

Closed, now that the problem is being solved in the other thread.
