What's up, guys ?

I got a "problem". Not really a problem but I'm freaking confused

When I set the Graphic settings on Low, I have lower FPS as when I set Grahpics on Maximum.

Is it the game or is it my computer/graphics card.

Got an Intel Xeon with 8x2.67Ghz and a NVIDIA Quadro FX580.

It confuses me that I have mor frames per second on Maximum as on Medium. Maybe one of the Users in this section know the reason.

Maybe your VGA card is still using a lower power mode as the game doesn't require enough rendering power to lift it off to max clock rating?

NFSW Launcher Starten > Optionen > Maximale Downloadrate

bei mir ging es wieder normal nachdem ich das mit dem Optionen gemacht habe am Launcher..
Hoffe das hat dir geholfen :)

I had the same with my low-end HD6450 - stuck in lower power mode (or switching from full clock to low power and back) with lower details, game was lagging.
Increasing both shader effects and in-game detail and VGA stayed at max clockrates.

Thanks for your answers, but I still don't know why I have in some games more FPS with higher graphics. Look at the game Warrock, maybe some one of you know what this is. With lowest graphics I have 135-140 FPS. And with highest Graphics I have instantly 140 FPS. (FPS Limit is 140FPS).

But in games like CoD MW2 I have 90 FPS with highest graphics and with lowest 100+ FPS. But okay, I got no questions anymore. My only solution would be to buy first of all a new graphics card and some weeks/months later a complete new CPU.

Does it make a difference if you use the high performance energy profile in your OS?
This may disable downclocking of your VGA and will disable downclocking of your CPU.

The problem is, when I activate this, my Turbo boost is also activated. Max Turbo Boost frequency is 3.1Ghz. But when I have NFS world opened or another game that uses less then 30% f my CPU my frequency is still under 3.00Ghz.

I tried to activate it in my BIOS but it was already.

I know on my 7970, I have to use an aftermarket program to disable the card's low power profile. (I believe it's called dlps) Maybe try this: [Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...]
Good luck. Hope this helps. Happy holidays.

Well, this helped me a lot. I got in almost every game about 10fps more. Thanks :)
