turning down brightness in co

friend of mine has a client problem on dxrkend co, his screen is wayyyy too bright, his co screen that is.
he's turned his monitor to max darkness but its still too bright, i'm wondering if theres anything i can do at all to help him, editing wise?
he just wants it darker for gw specifically, so i'm looking for a brightness value to change or simply which .dds's to edit so i can make all the gw shit darker.

lol it's not his Conquer it's his PC Screen settings.. Look in the front there's a button, not sure for you but for me it's an arrow pointing to the right.. Anyway have him find the "Brightness" setting and once he's there change it to the way you want it.. If it still doesn't work use "Contrast" setting..

To more correctly answer your question, yes, it is possible to modify brightness from the server.

You would need to send a CompleteMapChange with RGB colors just tinting down the brightness.
Keep in mind, this probably won't be easy if you don't know what you're doing.
