k i formatted my comp just now...every thing is ok i extracted swsro and was going to update it from 2.002 when i got a blank error name WARNING and a red X its just blank when i click ok the launcher never close but do nothing what is that?:(

really dont know, but if u do a reinstall windows so download and install newest drivers and directx.

i installed framework and now iam going to install direct x if didnt work i will redownload the 900mb client >.> damn i wanted to get to 81 today what a waste.
Edit:can the update server be down??...so if anyone still have the original client of 2.002 extract it in a new area and try to update and post the result here pls ?

It's your media i'm almost 100% sure. Try and look for an english one or something that's updated to the latest patch, otherwise i can upload it later.

Edit:i use the media.pk2 the english one it start then gives me N/A error

Did you try to edit your Sro_client or silkroad launcher or anything of that sort?

And if your a vista user right click the icon go to properties and change the compatibility to Windows XP
