How many VMs would my PC be able to run ?

Hi guys. I was thinking to gain some IP/RP from refflink program, so I've decided to use one of the reffbots. I have only one question. How many VMs will I be able to run at the same time ? My PC :

AMD Athlon(tm) II X4 640 Processor 3.00 GHz
6,00 GB RAM DDR2
NVIDIA GeForce GT 430 1GB
1TB HDD

I would very appreciate a good answer.

I tried running 2 VMS - works really good

How many RAM memory should i give for every VM ? (winXP)

If you use an HDD (like in this case) 500mb are not enough. You would destroy your HDD from time to time if you run some more VM's. When using Windows XP Gaming Edition, you could try 768mb of ram, but with an HDD 1GB of ram is recommended
