Need Pre-Set server files to work with Difference A6 client over local IP

08/01/2009 21:51 pandragon#1
Hi, I used the Difference server and client found [Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...] to run a Dekaron private server and test how it works.

I am not a complete idiot, I have made MU servers in the past ussing MS-SQL2000.
Still... It seems that I do something wrong.

I can't connect over Local IP, I run server and client from the same computer (127.0.0.1).

Can someone post a pre-set server and database that is tested to work over local IP with the Difference A6 client that is found [Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...]?

You want to edit the ip-adresses of channellist.csv and loginlist.csv to 127.0.0.1 and connect to the difference client?
If someone posts those server files ill be interested too.

If you telnet, ftp, etc... to 127.0.0.1, you are connected to your own machine.

In other words, 127.0.0.1 is you.

For example, if your system was named "joker", and you attempted to telnet to 127.0.0.1, you would see:

# telnet 127.0.0.1
Trying 127.0.0.1...
Connected to joker
Escape character is '^]'.

Another name for 127.0.0.1 is localhost.

:rtfm:

I have tryied 3 server packs and they all fail.

If you have any server files that are verified to work (you have logged in the game and played) with the Difference A6 client (on any IP, hamachi or not) please share them.

I dont need any info on how to set them, I just need those compatible server files and database with this client.

If I manage to work them on loopback I'll share my info too. ;)

When ussing network IP after I enter Login and password I get the shame thing as 127.0.0.1
Connecting to the server.
Loging into the server.
Disconnected for the server.
(which is not that helpfull since you get that messages on any random ID and password)

I would like to add that:
-My share folder is the same server/client (copy/paste).
-My sa login/password is correct in all server files and I use SQL and Windows authentication on MSSQL2000+SP4.

Still don't understand what I do wrong.
Thats why I need some files that are tested to work.
To compare my work.
