Buying a new computer is way less effort.
maybe even cheaper compared to the time you put in to create an edit like that.

from someone who redoing the game, that is an understatement. You would be waaaay better off selling blood to raise enough cash for the new PC. The interface alone is a huge task.

I was just hoping that the old maps and pictures might somehow be used I guess he used to be able to play it like a year and a half ago or so .......

either way it would have increased game speed and performance overall and add the fact that there is no way he could afford a new computer his is a 1.2 as it is with 384 mb of ram and only 1 mb of onboard video

Thanks anyway

and before you ask they made his system so you couldn't disable the onboard video to add a new card

and as far as selling blood wouldn't work here small town america lol

try checking out some of the teams who are remaking CO 1.0 (TQ is doing this as well but will surely suck the bone on it). My guess is perhaps the flash and maybe some of the newer spells/skills are hurting him, since the maps and shit are just a 2d pic, (there might be some size diff, but i think it'd be insignificant). Honestly tho, his best bet is to move up in the PC ranks, i was kinda kidding bout the blood, but i'm also in a small town (less than 1,000 ppl) in the US, he should put a sign up at the local store offering lawn care, or yard cleanup type of things, you can also collect bottle and cans for recycling. Technically if he really worked at it, he could have a PC by the end of the summer. I got mine for 400$ and its a dual core (2)2.5GHz AMD's, with 2GB of DDR2 ram. That was at Circuit City before they shut down, brand new off the shelf. If he looked on ebay or in other used outlets he could find something better for sure.

There was a CO1 interface and stuff here. But it was created for patch 4891 or something like that so it wouldn't be of much use now anyway.
