Editing values with CE?

I was browsing around my CSV files and found a line within a file that related to the standard xp ratio. However, I am not using the CRC bypass and therefore cannot simply hex edit it. I'm sorta new to CE and was wondering if I could just edit that value somehow thru CE. My idea is that if I just search for the text, i right click the result and choose browse this memory region. If I edit the 1.0 to like 5.0 on the right side will that work or does not that really change anything?

To be honest im not 100% Sure but What i am sure of is I believe there is a way , I haven't tryed but i'll tell you , you have to scan for somthing in Cheat Engine :P

i searched for the line in CE and found it, but can I edit it on the bottom right side or does that not work?
