My Modding Method

Ok, I just tried and tested this method and it works for me fine what you will need
1. An older version of Mabinogi
2. A Decent firewall i used McAfee
3. Tiara's Moonshine Mod V.44
4. Jinsu Patchers
5. Newest Ijl

Now, to mod this
a) install the older version of mabinogi on your pc
b) open your firewall conrols and set the permission for hacksheld update as outbound connections only (this allows hacksheild to connect to the update server but not download the updates)
c) open mabinogi and allow patch updates and installs ect.
d) close mabinogi after updates and then go through the steps you used to mod your mabi folder (if you dont know how click [Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...] to find out how)
e) Install moonshine
Now All mods should work fine save the cp and targeting props since they have been patched

All you did was a clean install of mabi, some mods do still work even after last patch, you cant prevent hackshield updating itself using a firewall and go ingame, outbound connection of the hs process connects and does update tru port 80.

my firewall doent allow that program to download anything ie updates and my mods are all working perfectly save the afore mentioned ones

Simple test, go to ur mabi folder, then HS folder, right click EhSvc.dll and select properties, what date appears in "modified" also note the number that appears below EhSvc.dll

Seriously, if Hackshield cant update/compare ver it will error and close the client, there would be bypasses in any other games using it already otherwise.

10 dolla that modified date says July 3 and that EhSvc.dll is 5.2.4.828

the ver is 5.1.23.438 and modified date is Thursday, January 22, 2009, 8:05:54 AM and to prove this i have a link to the file i just uploaded to mediafire [Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...] :D

Well i also have backed up files of hackshield that go back several versions, thats no proof that works, if you want to give solid proof make a short video of you client running with that version of hackshield.

whith which program should he do that? -looking for one myself-

so now im a liar O_o you said you wanted proof that the file was outdated and i provided the proof by attaching the file i cannot record my screen and im sure you would say if i provided screenshots it wouldnt suffice for you >,>

Use fraps or camtasia to record the screen, and no i dont say you are a liar, is just not possible, i invite anyone to do the steps you posted and be able to play with an outdated hackshield.

Use CamStudio, freeware and nice Quality.

ooh another thing is the ver and mod date can be altared so even then theres no :solid" proof XD anywho will do it anyway

Dont worry, HS will revert any of those alterations as soon as u run the proper client.

method not working anymore (perhaps it was luck but idk) i was playing around in a debugger to try to remove hs errors and re-installed mabinogi and due to beta testing my mod attempts have been put on hold >< can ya plz lock this down :D
