Arma 3: First Campaign Episode dated October 31

For quite some time now - to be precise since September 12 - Arma 3 is available for purchase at most stores. Bohemia Interactive's newest episode of this series is going to be a realistic warfare game - exactly like previous titles. Until now, one was only able to experience that realism online, because there is lack of content in campaign mode. This is supposed to change from end of October on, since an expansion called "Survive" has been announced for that time. Mentioned update is for free and said to consist of at least three DLCs offering a complete and well-made story.

Furthermore, it's going to introduce us with an US soldier named Ben Kerry, who will have to carry out the mission to maintain peace in the Mediterrean region in the name of NATO. Shortly before finishing his mission, the balance of power happens to change on the centrally located island called Altis. The "Canton-Protocol Strategic Alliance Treaty" - an assault troop supported by the Iranian government - makes use of that situation to seize power. Our US soldier is now confronted with a new enemy.

The expansion of campaign mode is said to influence weaponry and 3D animations beside the main ingame content. In the course of next months, two more DLCs most probably called "Adapt" and "Win" are going to be released as well.

ARMA is at the moment nothing more than a huge Map Kit with nice graphics. To be honest not worth a buy right now.
