Most don't take 1-6/8-10 because

1 is the first number
2 is even
3 is is to little (gets picked 2nd most time)
4 is even
5 is the middle
6 is even
8 is even
9 is nearly 10
10 is the last number

7 is just the unusual from 1-10. If you ask 100 People to say a number from 1-10, i bet 75% would say 7. The number 7 feels somehow smooth. Also a week has 7 Days. Some people call 7 the "happy number", because of diffrent reasons.

Mine is 3 by the way, but because of experience, not because of the reasons above
