Private server help

I have began to make my own private server. I have followed a few guides in here but I am having issues with the SQL Databases. Every time i run the "GlobalManager" I get SQL errors. I have tried to fix them but am having no luck. I have been following "[GUIDE] Setup a server without errors [1x GameServer]" but am having problems. Is there anyone here that has successfully created one that would be willing to give there knowledge and guidance for me to set up mine? It would be greatly appreciated. I have technical and networking knowledge but have never created a sro server. I have a good idea what im doing but there are just some details I am needing help with. Any type of help would be nice. I would like a server that is a stable release and works well.

I guess i have a few questions to go along with it..

1. What guide do you recommend me to follow / along with the installation files that are needed
2. What game client would work with it and the loader to use for the server

First of all, I would advise you not to learn it.
Why?
Simple cuz here are too many people opening some crappy servers all day.
Setting up a server is easy as fuck in reality, it's the easiest part basically.
You won't be able to make a server with a decent amount of players, and if u did actually know he basics, you'd have found a video tutorial already.

I have already seen all of those and those videos are complete shit. If you dont want to help whey would you reply in the post? Your comment was pointless. If your not willing to help out then do not reply on the thread. Anyone else besides Royal care to offer up some help?


EDIT: I was able to install the server and its up and running, just having a C8 login error which i am currently working on. Im looking through threads now trying to solve it. If any knows a quick solution feel free to let me know!

Usually the globalmanager SQL error is caused because of wrong connection to database in your certification ini files =)

Ok i got the server running now. Now my issue since i used the Vsro 1.88 client is that some stuff is not in english. I used a Pk2ExtractorSE to change to english but my startup image and some aspects of the in game stuff are not in english. What would be my next step here?

Not everything in game is just texts... Some "texts" are images, which you can simply extract from any full english client like iSRO official client =) Then simply replace everything to your server.

How would i extract that and place into my server? is that all in the media.pk2 file? I have edited my pk2 file already in a few ways to modify some in game texts but thats it. I still need to fix the images that are still not in english and my other big problem right now is nothing (npc's items, mobs) have a name. Its just all blank. What would cause that?

textdata_object for your last problem.
You need extractor. A pk2 extractor. Which you use to extract media.pk2\interface\outer then with editor you open YOUR media.pk2 file select the Media folder (that u extrecter earlier.. it will be where your Extractor is stored) and you hit import. Magic =)

What do i change the values in the textdata_object to? So the names of npc and mobs will show up. Also for the interface/outer I opened it and imported from another client thats in english but when i start the client i have blank images on the login screen. Where should i import those new english images from that go to media.pk2\interface\outer?

The biggest issue right now is the npcs and mobs and items not having names.
