general question...

is this game still as bad as it was 10 yrs ago?? anything majorly changed so its worth playing again..

i played like 2 yrs ago.. and before that like 5 yrs or smth.. so just a general question about the popularity of this game..

It's not in my interest to play the game anymore. Whether that be caused by past frustration with the company or massive disappointment in the newer patches that now define the game, I just can't be bothered to play. As far as I understand, that's a common reason for mostly everyone quitting right now. The features they've implemented mostly help bulk buyers spend more money on beefing their character. It's impossible to compete with them.

Agreed.

The game never got better, it got worse. Although there are things that are better but the general feeling of the game is not as it was before.

This is my opinion and you have to play yourself to decide for yourself.

I should probably continue, the game really did show some potential. I played in the Alpha testing phase for Conquer Online when it was advertising in California. I saw a lot in the game but the company wouldn't listen to any of my suggestions (or anyone's suggestions for that matter). That's why in around 2010 I got involved with private servers and in 2011 why I started teaching myself programming. Conquer Online could be made into a very nice game with enough effort, but not many people have explored that road. If you don't like the real servers, and you want to see Conquer Online turn into something more interesting, read a bit about current private server projects. There aren't many, but there are some pretty cool projects out there that could use support.

hmm thx for the info... i heard "battelepower" or whatever it was called got removed.. so i thought.. "wow... finally.. maybe now normal ppl got a chance against bulkers" but apparently it got nerfed..

CO was nice back in the days when CO 2 came out it kinda screwed everything up.

Nothing will ever beat the original CO, I first joined in 2007, and have played ever since

I've had breaks and stuff, but Fang is right, they just put events on which help bulkers massively, however they also do provide ways for people who don't spend anything to get decent items, for example at the 110 promotion at non-rb you get a super 1 soc equipment (ring, boots, etc)

and at the level 110 promotion 1st rb, you get a super 2 soc weapon!

So its up to you, personally I still think its okay, but not as good as it used to be, mainly because there is no real skill left in the game.
