FAQ
Q: What is "Encryption Key"?
A: Its the key to open a file, leave blank for no key.

Q: What are the separators for?
A: These are used to cut up the file and display them in the grid.
Use "\r\n" for separating on new lines.
The first separator is to split up each row and the second is for each column.

Q: What Encryption Key should i use to open xxx file?
A: There is a list above with the keys. If its not there ask.

Q: What separators should i use to open the latest itemtype.dat file?
A: "\r\n" and "@@" should work for the current client version. (12/09/2013)

Q: Can you create a video tutorial for this tool?
A: No, there is no need for a video tutorial.

Ask questions and ill add more to the FAQ.

I am going to give this a try. I have a few dat files I wanted edited per CO Client. ( I have A duel boot work station with Co installed on each OS and a lap top.) Depending on what I am doing I use the client I edited to fit what toon or how I am playing.

Its really easy and not worth a video, all you need to do is to fill in the 3 textboxes on the top then drag the file you want to open onto the window.

The 3 textboxes (from left to right)
- the key used to open the file.
- the character(s) used to separate the items in the file.
- the character(s) used to separate the values of the items in the file.

I did provide an example and a screenshot of the app.

This is true but you have to consider the amount of data being displayed to you.

-----------------------------------------

There is no purpose to this app, its more of a "use if everything else fails" kinda vibe.

Updates
- Fixed a small bug
- Added binary file support

The binary files are decrypted first if an Encryption key is provided. Then the files bytes are split up according to the "read type" selected, those bytes are then converted into the type you chose and displayed.

The app will crash if you attempt to read an invalid read type for the specified type.
I will add some touch ups to that next version.
