Mob Spawn rate

I used a spawn rate query to incr dwMaxTotalCount to multiple by 4. The mobs do appear, but disappear as soon as it appear. Any good fix to this? Don't worry about my machine power, it's the top on the line. i7 quad 32gb ram highend graphic etc....

It takes less than 30second to startup sro server with the autoit startup server i created.

You probably hit the maximum object count in the gameserver
You will have to use 2 gameservers and split up the regions

so how much can a standalone gameserver hold peer to objects?
08/25/2013 11:19 Schickl#4
150,000

Something tells me you multiplied more than 4 times.

even if I multiple by 3; it's still the same result. Looks like 2x is the way to go. Thought I remember Ongs place in the real sro; it's alot. 2x is quite less but fair rate spawning...

If Gameserver can handle or if anybody knows how to modify gameserver to handle more than 150k it would be awesome as I think my system can handle 10x mob spawning. Which I won't go that far, but at least 4x.

It's not possible to change that limit(the gameserver will crash if you do change it)

Just assign a second gameserver and split the regions. simple as that

1 GameServer can handle max 50001 objects (50,000)
to fix the problem do it how Schickl says split the regions and set it to 2 or 3 GameServers

(u can use a Virtual Machine for this)

One gameserver can handle 150,000 objects
Just sayin' because it's quite a big difference

Increase Spawn Rate and enter in GM CMD:
/worldstatus

you will see Monsters: 50001

I'm talking about the object count displayed in the gameserver.

good and useful info. Just don't like the idea of having to install virtual machine. Will keep that in mind.

I use a VM even if I have only one gameserver enabled
It's just more secure
I'm not comfortable knowing that there might be someone bug in the software which might give a hacker full control of my PC

You should separate the servers from everything else(MSSQL server, personal stuff, etc)

If you use VirtualBox(which I do) you just have to setup one VM and then clone it

I'm doing it on hamachi so I dough thats going to happen, but good idea to practice safety.

You can use VM for an extra agent+GS, 1000 more slots+50,000 more mobs capacity.
