[Future-Release] Cod4+Co? :)

Have you ever played Call of duty 4? Haha, i'm sure you've played Conquer.
How does a mix of the two sound? Of course, no guns though.

Myself, and a friend are working on his server, being released in the future. Seeing I can't do much because files are on his computer, I help and do w/e I can to help him out. Yesterday we were thinking.. As to add in like a quest, but unlimited times to do it. Add in game types - Team Battle, Free For All, C.T.F., and Cage Battle. To have prizes for winners, and such. This will require a bit of time, due to all dynamic maps, and timers. Also, this will be coded in MySQL, and in C#.

When we finish with this, would anyone like to have it possibly? I mean with credits to myself and my friend of course. If so respond to this thread and tell me whether you'd be interested or not. If so, i will release it in the future.

EDIT: will be coded in CoEmu v2 as well as binaries, and possibly LOTF.

I think new servers it would suck cause they usually got a small community with tons of PK events with no one to kill.

But some larger communities might want it but I think others would code themselves and not take codes :/

i can see your point. although, maybe if people become attracted because of this idea? could up the # of players, and this being basically "a pk tournament" other than it going on all day, nonstop, just as cod4 would. i've got all ideas, NPCs, game types, prizes, everything written out atm. We're just working on translating to MySQL as we speak. But i agree, we are going to have to rack up a big community for it to work well. thank you for your reply.

To have real players, you need "quality" not "quantity".

I don't understand why you are posting this here though, To give you mean giveaway? And if I'm going to be the one receiving your source, I would want it to be good coding instead of ... Yeah. So are you planning to do this in your own source, CoEmu, LOTF, or hybrids? That would effect deeply on your goals. And last thing, Your going to code this? Or are you posting this to get someone to code it for you so like you said at the end you and your friend will get credits?

I agree with you 100% on that, but we will also need a number of players.. I mean estimating.. COD4 server plays about 120k at a time. I mean lmao i know we couldn't that much of course, but no games will be held without a number of players. Hey, i mean if it turns out well enough, we'll possibly have both quality and quantity. I'm guessing hmmm, we're having 4 game types. Team Battle [5v5], FreeForAll [1vsALL] (10 players), Cage Battle [1v1], and CTF [5v5]. I know CTF has already been coded but were customly making it.

When this is coded I won't give away the source, but i possibly will post the Guide to putting it into your source and making it work. Its requiring alot of work, and time, but it will be for LOTF, and for Binaries, and Hybrids.. not positive on which. And no, I am coding this along with my friend, so credits will go to us.

haha, thanks, my buddy uses binaries and he's translating the codes in C# to MySQL right now. He's good at it though so i think we'll be successful.

Team Deatmatch : Source created teams (Auto invite) but the team will stay the same
Mercenary team deathmatch: Source created auto invited teams and the teams will reset each round. (The team leader is the source so it can auto invite)
