and DDOS protection ? where is it ? today to search one server its not only "clean" its WITH DDOS protection :) same we cant blocked it only to get one with nice mitigation its interesting out of this its useless ! :D so at this price you can dream to get one server protected ^^

close to the worst provider u can choose in my eyes.

webtropia = cheap but worst support ever going together with hoster problems (u can just run sql 2008r2) and way more.

contabo = good support and goood stability of server but once u got attacked they act like a bish (which always happends in the shaiya community)

best hoster i found so far with good support good security and good stabiltity of the servers is strato. prices are fair aswell and they only take down ur server if the attack reaches a rly high attack.

Can I host a server on a VPS?

I'd like to add: If a server reach like 500 players in it at the same time, how many ram, storage e.t.c do I need?

u can run ur server from a vps. a vps is a good way to safe for the start money once u grow u will need way more then a vps. (vps is restricted to a special amount of /cpu /cores + bandwitdh) once u grow u need to consider moving ur server to a dedi to get more ram/ cpu/cores and might upgrade aswell to a 1gb upload link instead of 100mb as it is normal)
Keep in mind that the server alone doesnt require much its more about SQL which needs alot ram. depening on the size of ur database.
