DarkOrbit Server Emulator

08/10/2013 07:41 Requi#1
Welcome to my new thread, about a new DarkOrbit Server Emulator.

I was working with a little team on a private server, but we decided to change to Azure, because we had some problems with the mysql.

This emulator is written in Visual Basic with .NET Framework.

This is a Open Source project and actually won't be continued, because of time problems and other projects.
If you want, you can expand the code and do it better and better.

What is done yet:
We made the login with reading out few things out of database. In our opinion it's the difficultest part.

The emulator is commented out and you can see mostly what function do what.
If you need help at else things, let me know and I'll try to help you.

Working OS:
Every Windows, which has installed .NET Framework 4.0

IMPORTANT:
This is only the emulator for the map. For the homepage, you need extra files. I recommened to use the Azure + Madatek Full Package files.

Download is as attachment below.

Credits are going to:
ELIAZ for starting this revolution.
Xdr for the Azure Server which is based on .NET Features and the mysql classes.
omitma (C0unt Lizzi) for great help and ideas, how we can handle some things.
'Heaven for giving a project, which was fresh started, but couldn't do anything.
And at least me for the coding.

A big thanks to all, who read this!

Regards,
Requi and the rest of team.

I would be happy to post a class which supports MySQL Database communication without all the shit from Azure (which has about 10-15 interfaces and 5 classes for that). It has async functionality, too.

Tell me if you need it ;)

You can post it and I'll add it to the first post.

Yes. It's not a emulator for non-coders.

No. It's like ever other emulator.

And if you can't do this yourself, the emulator is just shit for you. It's not even started. Just login is working.
