Ep3 private archlord

Was deleting some old stuff from my pc and i discovered i have the ep3 installer.
Could it be used in making a ep3 private server? I do not know very much about making a server, but i thought i could help.

nope, need server files :) you got only the client files

I see. But how can get the server files...i mean there were few privates working and now is this justac...how did they got these files? Any idea?

hacking i suppose xP

if i wanted to make a private server i would write my own from scratch to ensure stability.. but that's just me.

well i'm planning to do that, i know how to model 3d + animation and import them in my game (in unity3d) also know how to program in c# or javascript.
already made a very simple shooter. so only thing i need now is time & more people xD

you gota inject the webzen servers and get em to send u the server files. lol Good luck with that its like impossible unless u are a pro hacker or got someone on the inside.

Edit : also note that making a mmo is not a walk in the park lol. It takes years of networking and back end programing experience to get that kinda programing in properly. Also you need a large team.

I disagree. any script kiddie could do it, if they were smart enough to put the code together.

Besides that kind of hacking is seemingly impossible, unless the queries haven't been sanitized, which I assume, no game developer would forget.

After programming in html and php for 3 years I decided to make my own runescape private server (about 2006), this required that I learned java, and already 2 months later I decided to write a new one from scratch because the one I had was too unstable.

Point is; anyone can do it.

So what's the things you must know to write from scratch. This year im already taking java lessons in highschool xD

whats the point of hacking the server files of a Game full bugs? xD

i agree with that. everyone can write a game. But not everyone can write a good game :). these days you aren't good enough with only Pro programming skills. you 'll have to come up with some awesome story and idea's to keep the game interresting. There are a lot of games out there, so it has to be unique. And i also noticed that graphics are more and more important.

Too sadly there is no farm-style game like archlord with decent graphics, which i like.

i would actually advice you to learn c++ instead of java, because java will easily overflow and slowly crash the server...
