How to reduce lag in darkorbit

To reduce lag go to desktop settings and set the lowest resolution(lower resolution less lag) the fps will raise, i use this a the crazy cubis event and it reduce lags of the 80%

Well, No this wont work for everyone, Beceause you have allot of other kinds of lag, FPS lag, Connection lag, bad Ping,...

Also man, next time for Small questions or stuff like this use dark orbit talk :)


This could only work if you have a Slower Pc setup i think.
But well, for some it wil help:)

Actually there is no resolution to set anymore.
You can adjust your quality settings only.

But what should help if you haven't done it already is activating hardware acceleration for your flash player.

To do so:
* right click into your game client window.
* choose "settings".
* check the box saying something like "hardware acceleration".

I had to guess the names for the stuff in "" because I have a german flash player.

There still is resolution to set man;)
But this time you need to do it on your own computer.
If you got 1280x1080 on your screen , and you startup dark orbit it wil give you that resolution:)
If you take another one on your comp, it gives another one.

Its purely Your computer if i am not mistaking^^
I use 3200x1080 now, No lag^^
Only when i startup youtube etc etc, and thats only beceause it uses my flashplayer to, it uses my internet to...

If you got a bad graphic card for this game?
Just change the colours on your computer from 16 bits to 8 bits, It could help allot.

You could also put your browser and flash player as higher priority in your process list.

How can i explain this?
I have 70+- fps on a 3200X1080 screen.

70FPS and still have lag.

Also 35 would be perfect for this game. 'support tells me this'
While i have lag EVERY TIME it hits 50 fps ..
50FPS = Lag?
I mean common, if i hit 50fps in farcry for example, and go from 50 to 70 i wont notice the change..

50 fps my screen says, my eyes say 2 fps :)
That fps counter dont work.. thats what i say

If they are false i cant do the cubis event because with 2 fps when im near a cubikon with a lot of protegit the game stop and after 2 min the plugin crash if i reduce the quality i can go near a cubikon with a lot of protegit and go around it, i dont now if this work for everyone, for me it works so i shared it.You can try it doesn't cost nothing, if not work dony use it

You understand me wrong, i am not saying this is useless, i am telling you that you dont need to look at the fps counter :P
Its false, it doesnt show the real fps ..

But this is only flashplayer lag, and Graphic card lag, You use youtube and other websites while playing?
Do rightclick and lower theyre memory usage to 0 :)
It wil decrease lag also , and minimal crashes.

i have 50 fps and with minimum resolution and all low and i have lag "-"

The biggest lag isn't any more in the game map. Now when I use full screen, My FPS goes up, but in past it always going lower in full screen. It's normally your computer stats that will be giving you lag or lower fps, I know the forum and support just used it as excuse but actually clearing all browser data and using macromedia.com to clear the flash, it normally gives me better performance.
