Making a special server, requesting advice

Me and a group of people are making a special server. It's gonna be based on what made people get addicted to silkroad back in the day, that's all i can tell, it's gonna be simple yet well thought, and hopefully a lot of people will have a lot of fun like we all used to have playing silkroad.

All i wanted to do was ask you couple questions:

-First is, what makes silkroad special for you, what always made you fantacize about it?

-Second is, if you've got any experience making servers, what would be your advices, and also, great guides we could follow to get our shit done as quickly as it can be.

Cheers, if there's anyone that's got great ideas and would like to participate in a project like this, pm me, we could get shit done or at least discuss something that would really make this better.

Well, i tried to get some positive feedback about managing servers and stuff, but it really doesn't matter.

We'll make a sort of an advertisement thread soon, hopefully you guys could check it out, maybe follow us and play on our server once it's opened just to check it out, no need for a commitment.

If it doesn't please you, no problem either :) We'll just try to create a server that might be a little different, and where hopefully people can enjoy themselves playing silkroad, nobody's shooting for the moon hehe.

PS: My favorite server so far has deffinetely been your server Qynchou and Perry, too bad you guys closed it, i really enjoyed playing there.

just make sure that job contribution works as it should (thieves and hunters getting weekly paid etc). If u do that i will join ur server in no time xD

The first thing you need to do if your server is indeed going to be 'special' is have a plan of action, what will make your server stand out from others?

Professional team|advanced features|new systems|long term.

Just use that in your thread title, youre bound to succeed.
