PacketProcessor.cs
(Under LoginServer)

If you haven't changed the name of your server do this now

Search Then change it to the name of your choice.


Now to fix this change every IP in PacketProcessor.cs to your Hamachi IP or 127.0.0.1 (Might work with any other IP)

After you've done that. Save your progress and hit F5. Once you've debugged one of the Projects (Probably LoginServer was done first) Right click the next project and click Set as StartUp Project then hit F5 for that too. After they are all debugged you're done!



Server.dat (For the computer that runs the Server)

Edit as shown.

Now for people connecting to you! It will look like this

Now if for some reason you still get login freeze make it so your server.dat looks like this. It will be the same for you and person connecting EXCEPT THE IPS WILL BE THE SAME LIKE SHOWN ABOVE.

There you go! You Fixed it!


If you don't like how your LoginServer.exe says logging into CoEmu I will try to find a way to fix it and edit this post.

Ok so most of you aren't understanding on how to do this and I am getting really annoyed repeating this over and over so whoever looks at this hard enough will fix it..

PacketProcessor.cs

KEEP CHANGING the IPS until you can get into your server! Like I've said before IPs here will WORK and the same IPs here won't work.. Just keep changing it until you can get in..

Server.dat

I've noticed if you change the

SERVERNAME>YOURNAME<

to

SERVERNAME>CoEmu<

So it's only changing the FLASHNAME..

That way it will run even if you're IPs didnt work before

Ok, my server runs perfectly fine if I run it using local 127.0.0.1 and my client can connect but when I tried to switch it over to hamachi the server starts and runs but when i edit the server.dat and change the "Server IP" or the "Flash Name" and I try running the CoEmu.exe client vista locks up and it crashes. Is this just a problem with vista or is there another reason i cant edit those parts of Server.dat?

Any Advice or help would be appreciated

It's Windows Vista try running it as administrator or mess around with it..

Why does it accept it as the predefined ip but not as a outside ip? Does the CoEmu file check the code for that specific ip? Can you tell me how I would set it to add another server so it shows both that server and my server? maybe if it has the original server in the code it will let me load the program? I'm leaving atm but i'll try to figure out the xhtml code myself when i get home if it works or i cant figure that much out i'll post again. Anyway thanks for the fast response at least now ik its not just my computer having that problam.

hay can you tell me why this happens.. OK if i get kicked or something i cant log back in i get stuck at log in. it only does it to me if i am connecting to my self don't no why its not a problem with source i don't thank because i can edit and bring the source backup and it will not fix it i got to exit the Clint and bring it back up

Actually this is the exact error im getting now on xp

Windows Vista it's self has problems there's some guide on here about Windows Vista not sure what it does...

The computer that's running the server = 127.0.0.1

People connecting = HAMACHI IP

Flash Name = Server Name

Server Name = Server name

i have all ok with you guied.... but my loing are freezed... i cant make any character... i think that is error in some case when some 1 loing for fist time in the date base....

Do you get an error? It's probably just first time login because it won't go the first time it has to make a password.

Just an update in case anyone's interested i got it working, spent hours tweaking the server sources ips until i got the right combo. Basically kept databaseconnections.cs as the "127.0.0.1" but set all the others to hamachis ip (also set my network connection to the same as hamachi but not sure that did anything) and last i changed the "Authsocket.cs" ip to my hamachi. Not sure if this will help anyone but thought I would post it in case it did.

PS: The changing the ip of the client on your computer to hamachi will always cause it to crash but wont for others, n0mansland covered that but oh well. Oh and thanks for the help.

Yea I kind of noticed some IP's in some spots work for others while these IP's in another spot don't work for them. I don't really understand why.
