Will This Guy Be Good?

At level 9, he will have the following:

Weapons:

Flail
Bumps
Knife
Lance

Skills:

Herculean Strength
Strong Arm
Martial Arts
Net
Bomb

The combination of Herc+Strong Arm with the Flail seems a little ridiculous, plus having the Bumps (which should also deal 50+). Net and Bomb seem to be enough for annoying pets, and Martial Arts is just gravy. Lance and Knife are good if only because they allow for countering.


At 20, he'll pick up Impact, and 22 he gets 6th Sense, 33 comes Deluge, 36 Extra-hard Skin, 38 Bolt of Lightening, 39 Whip. 45 picks up an Iron Mace, and 50 a Shield. If he can get past that, he gets Cry of the Damned at 54 and Stars at 61. He picks up Dogs every once and a while, but no Wolves or Bears.

Is this guy as good as I think he is? He seems like he could make quick work of alot of people. I'm a little worried about his defense, considering he doesn't get any Vitality boosts and won't get a Shield or Extra-hard Skin till later on.

Anyways, what do you guys think?

Well the flail means that he's gonna be insta-gibbing very often when he pulls this weapon out. The problem I see with my 2 flail brutes is that they randomly get killed every now and then because of the lack of defensive tools. They can beat really strong brutes, but also lose to mediocre ones if unlucky. Best defenses to have are imo a bear/(wolf) to eat damage, or vitality. You have some dogs sitting around though, so he's gonna be strong.

Net is very useful, or those pet brutes are going to destroy you. Bomb kinda sucks though, it can blow up your net :(.

To compare, a third flail brute of mine is surprisingly strong, he got top 256 in the tournament at only level 10, and that is without a pet! Combination of cry of the damned, flail and vitality.

But just try him out at various levels to see how strong he is :)

Eh checking again, he won't have a flail or any of those skills at all at level 9..

annalina1 (random brute with semi-decent skills): beat you 3-2
olgahelga2 (weakish thief brute): you kicked his ass :)

PS: damn the simulator is fun, who needs the real game anymore :P
